A three-day management workshop was held at Tollygunge Club, Kolkata on the 8th,9th & 10th of April, 2009.

The opening ceremony on the first day was followed by an encouraging speech by MD & CEO of the company MR ADITYA KUMAR JAJODIA and subsequently the much awaited ACL MIS Website was inaugurated.

The General Managers of the Estates  gave Presentations on the Task Force Highlights followed by an interaction with MD and Mr Sanajy Guha. The later half also featured Managers' Presentation and interaction with MD and Mr Guha once again.

The proceedings of 9th morning opened with The Market Scenario by Mr A Choudhuri [ Chairman, J Thomas & Company] and  Mr R Suchanti [Executive Director, J Thomas & Company].

Mr Sanjay Guha , Director, Duncan & Macneill provided a brief lecture on Marketing and subsequently involved the whole house to participate into a game plan for a change towards more  profitability.

In the second half,a very meaningful lecture was provided by Mr B C Das on Cost Control following which there was an interaction with him and the managers.A qualified cost accountant and company secretary for Worthington Pump India Limited, Mr Das presently has his own consultancy called BCD & Associates.

Mr Rajan Mehra,Senior Consultant,M & QA provided a presentation on the introduction of new machines in Manufacture following which Dr P Ghosh provided a presentation on Soil Management.Dr Ghosh is the Chief Advisory Officer for Tea Research Association, Nagrakata, Jalpaiguri.

The third and the final day was an informal day featuring "Leveraging Brand YOU" by Mr Mirza Yavar Baig who very candidly involved the whole house to come out with solutions of typical problems of a corporate.Founder & President of YAWAR BAIG & ASSOCIATES™ ,he is an International Speaker, Coach, Trainer and Facilitator specializing in Leadership in Family Businesses.
